Excellent Beekeepers
Beekeeping is an ancient skill and was first recorded in Egyptian art around five thousand years ago. Although bees were not introduced to our country until 1810, beekeepers here have learned and developed this ancient skill through experience passed from generation to generation, and now are producing the best quality of honey around the world. There are approximately seven hundred thousand registered hives in our country, producing honey, beeswax, pollen, royal jelly and other products. The annual national production of honey exceeds thirty thousand tons, and nearly fifty percentage of production comes from our state, New South Wales, supporting all business like us to grow faster.
Thanks to our hard working beekeepers, we can source natural and healthy honey sustainably. What makes our honey special and best is the love and care these beekeepers put into their bees. They try to create a suitable environment for each bee colony which does not stress the bees out in any way instead of pushing bees to the limit. In this way, all bee colonies are more disease resistant, and produce more and better quality of honey. Not only these lovely beekeepers enjoy their profession, they also enjoy being outdoors with nature and with our blissing weather. They travel from public land to native forests, from national parks to other conserved forests, all of which provide a variety of floral resource. Our country is also one of the few places that hasn’t got varroa mite which helps our excellent beekeepers continuously keep strong and healthy bee colonies.
